The tiger lilies are blooming!! They’re such interesting flowers, with their turk’s cap shape and lovely freckles. The stalks are nearly 6 feet high, and they bloom from the top down bottom up, like gladiolus gladioli.

We received our free mulch from Arborguard over the weekend. Here’s the pile after David had already moved about 3 or 4 carts full to the backyard.
I’ve been wondering what additional exercise to add to my routine, but I think that question has been answered for awhile.

Giant Fig

This enormous fig was hidden behind some leaves on our larger fig tree. Somehow the squirrels and birds missed it. I think it got so big because so many of the other early crop have been eaten by varmints.
David and I shared it for dessert. It was delicious!
